You came from nowhere and into the center of my heart,
Seemed so different, special, right from the start.
With you my heart took wings and it soared,
As together new heights we explored.
You brought to life feelings within me,
I thought were gone, no-one else would ever see...
As quickly as you came, so did you turn away.
So I will shed one last tear for you today.

The tears of joy we shared are now just a memory,
As I sit here alone, thinking of what you mean to me.
You quickly became the center of my world,
My reason to live life, to keep pushing forward.
The joy I felt just to bring you a smile,
Truly made my pitiful life worthwhile.
But as quickly as you came, so did you turn away.

But when that coldness crept in, it wasn't hard to see.

While the flames of love inside me, cause me to smother.
They say love is blind, I know this is true,
Love makes excuses for those that hurt you.

But it is hard to sit and wait, wrapped up in despair.
warm or cold, which is it today?
Are you still in my life, or gone away?

I do owe you, for awakening emotions buried long ago,
Bringing me to life, with feelings I was scared to show.
What I thought was forever may be but a moment in time,
I would wait and wait just to make you mine.
But you say you don't know deep within yourself,
How long I will sit alone on the shelf.
