If I give of myself, will I get in return?
If I open up will I crash and burn?
If I trust in you, will you trust me too?
Or is it all just a game?
Like all the others, just the same?


When I open up and let you in,
Know in your heart you are my friend.
Anything more is up to you,

I closed my eyes and took a chance,
A leap of faith without a second glance.
It was natural, easy, the right thing to do.
Now each day finds me deeper in love with you.


You came into my life, like a whisper in the night.
You opened my eyes so I would see the light.
You touched my heart and never let go.
That's why even today, I still love you so.


We never can know what life may hold,
Sometimes shit, sometimes gold.
Tho right now I'm flat on my ass,
Someday, this too shall pass.


In the midst of my storm I may hide.
But my feelings are the same deep inside.
I love you with all I am, and ever shall be.
And I long for the time, you again I will see.


Know in your heart yesterday, today, tomorrow, forever
The feelings I shared are strong as ever.
If in my silence you ever have a doubt,
All you need do is to drag this poem out.


Close you eyes and remember when,
We spoke regularly and then,
Put those words I said then to you,
In your heart because they are still true.
