HTML Help, Tips, And Tricks Yes, you can learn how to do this too....

HTML stands for the HyperText Markup Language. HTML code is the major language of the Internet's World Wide Web. Web sites and web pages are written in HTML code. With HTML code and the world wide web, you have the ability to bring together text, pictures, sounds, and links... all in one place! HTML code files are plain text files, so they can be composed and edited on any type of computer... Windows, Mac, UNIX, whatever.

HTML is basically a list of codes that your browser "reads" to draw up text documents and add graphics video and sound to make pages appear the way they do when you see them on the web. There are several HTML editors that help you through the codes but they are not necassary in order to create webpages. For instance, I use Notepad to write my webpages ;-) Well, actually I have recently upgraded my Windows Notepad to a free program that has many more features than Notepad and I use it now. It is free and you can download a copy for yourself here, or from the file download page. But have used Notepad for webpages for years.

If you've ever been interested in learning about how to build your own web site, below are some links to some great sites with tutorials and resources that can make a pro drool. I have compiled a document of HTML tags with a description and example of each, it comes in very handy as a reference tool. It is free and you can download a copy for yourself here , or from the file download page.

Here is a page to give you a visual display of 140 colors used in HTML webpage design..... Click Here to View and you can Download a text file version. It is named colors.txt, rename it to colors.htm and you can view it from your computer when you need it by opening it with your browser.
